HUNTING AND FISHING

Welcome to paradise! Grenora is located in prime territory for small game hunting as well as deer and antelope. Pheasants are plentiful and offer the hunters a definite challenge. Also, in
abundance are sharptail grouse and Hungarian partridge.

If you are looking for a big rack - check out our white tail deer population. It is as good as any area anywhere. Antelope hunting is also considered a venture for any hunter. We are a hunter's dream come true! Blacktail Dam and Skjermo Lake are all within a short drive of Grenora and offer excellent fishing for perch, pike, and walleye. North Dakota anglers enjoy fishing for the elusive walleye; and Lake Sakakawea, located one hour away, offers the best in the Midwest.

Available in the Missouri River system are paddlefish, a prehistoric fish which can weigh more than 120 pounds. This is the only area in the North American continent where these fish can be found, and paddle fishing is truly an unusual experience.
